You mentioned you're using NewCS. This is hosting your card. You can connect newcamd directly to NewCS as they are using the same protocol. This will bypass CCcam as you don't need to connect to it, as it is not hosting your card. Read up on newcamd about how to connect to a newcamd server (NewCS).

I am needing to do install a Newcamd emulator on my Dreamboxes so as to some experimenting and learning with card sharing. Would appreciate if someone could advice the options or steps to load this emulator into my Dreambox 500s. One unit has a Gemini 3.6 image (already has CCcam) the other unit has a PLi Diamond image. I understand the following: 1. Program files go into /var/bin 2. Config Files go into /var/tuxbox/config/newcamd 3. Keys Directory (not sure what to do with this) go into /var/tuxbox/scce or var/scce 4.

FYI I have managed to load newcamd on the Dream with the Gemini image by doing the following: Setup - Blue button Addons download and Install cam Newcamd - and it then self installs.

After that Setup -blue button again Addons download and Install cam-config Newcamd-Spider for DB500. Etc Obviously this downloaded off the net automatically - Still like to see what you need to do it manually. More things to play with now.
